Scholarship Announcement

AWARD:     $1000

ELIGIBILITY: Graduating senior from any Camden County High School who is planning to pursue a career as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).  

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

  1. Obtain the Application Form from Ms. Forand in the School Counseling Office or below and complete all information. 
  2. Meet with School Nurse for personal interview.
  3. Obtain a Letter of Recommendation from the School Nurse.
  4. Obtain a Letter of recommendation from other source, non-relative (teacher, guidance, etc.).
  5. Obtain an Official High School transcript.
  6. Submit a Student Essay:  What led you to choose nursing as a career and why you think you would make a great nurse!
  7. Personal Resume/CV
  8. Return your COMPLETED application and required documentation to the School Nurse by March 22, 2024.  She will submit it to CCSNA by the deadline.
  9. DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION BY SCHOOL NURSE:  April 8, 2024

Award is contingent upon presentation of Letter of Acceptance to College/University.

2024 Gloucester County Hero Scholarship Applications

GLOUCESTER COUNTY HERO SCHOLARSHIP FUND, INC.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
The Gloucester County Hero Scholarship Fund was established in 1995 to
provide financial assistance to the dependents of Gloucester County Police,
Fire, and EMS personnel who gave their lives or were permanently disabled in
the line of duty.

The Scholarship program will be awarding several $1000 scholarships to
qualified individuals who are furthering their education in ANY post-secondary
institution(College, Vocational Technical, etc)

Scholarship Eligibility:
1) Limited to Graduating High School Seniors.
2) Applicant serves in a Fire or EMS agency in Gloucester County.
3) Or have a parent actively serving or honorably retired from a Police, Fire
or EMS agency in Gloucester County, New Jersey State Government or
the Federal Government.

Application Requirements:
1) Submit the completed application, high school transcripts, checklist,
and two recommendations on your character and citizenship
and essay electronically by April 12, 2024.

Wilt Chamberlain Memorial Fund Scholarship

My name is John Kueny and I am the Program Coordinator for the Wilt Chamberlain Memorial Fund, a last-dollar scholarship program that provides financial assistance to current high school seniors with financial need who are looking to further their education in the fall at a four-year university, two-year associate program, or trade school.

I am happy to announce that we are now accepting applications for this year’s scholarship until April 22. Below are the minimum eligibility requirements: 

MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Plan to graduate from high school at the end of the 2023-24 academic year
  • Intend to enroll in an accredited post-secondary institution beginning fall 2024
  • Earn a cumulative unweighted GPA of 2.5 or above
  • Demonstrate significant unmet financial need

2024 SJBCA $500 Scholarship for graduating High School Seniors (Camden County)

 “South Jersey Bass Club Association” will be awarding a $500.00 scholarship to a graduating High School Senior planning on attending a College to study in the field of fisheries management, environmental science, or other related fields that may benefit fishermen and the environment.  (i.e. Conservation Officer, Biological Sciences, Green acres studies, and the preservation of outdoor activities).

Documents for interested High School Seniors are available in the School Counseling office with Ms. Forand:
1.) 2024 SJBCA Scholarship Guidelines.

The deadline for submission Wednesday, May 1, 2024.

  The Sons of Italy Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Order Sons and Daughters of Italy in America (OSDIA), has awarded tens of millions of dollars in scholarships to date. In past years, the SIF has offered 10 to 16 merit-based scholarships, ranging from $4,000 to $25,000 in a nationwide competition. These figures and the number of scholarships may vary according to funding each year.

NJACAC Scholarships and College Fairs

NJACAC Scholarships – March 15 Deadline

  • Four (4) $1250 scholarships for 2024 high school seniors who have attended a program or workshop sponsored by NJACAC (i.e. College Key, Camp College, NJ National or Regional College Fair, Rainbow Key, etc.). 

College Key – March 9th 9am-3pm at Monmouth University

College Key is a FREE workshop for historically underrepresented, low-income, first generation 10th and 11th grade students and their parents or guardians. During this event, throughout the day, students and parents will participate in a series of interactive presentations presented by school counselors and admissions representatives.

This year’s event will be held on March 6th at the New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center in Edison, NJ from 9am-12pm and 5:30pm-8:30pm.

Camp College

Camp College NJ is an exciting opportunity for students from traditionally underrepresented backgrounds to learn more about the college admissions process. Specifically, this program is geared towards rising high school juniors and seniors who lack the resources they might need to find the best college matches and successfully complete the application process.     Announcing the Camden County Hero Scholarship Fund’s

    2024 Scholarship Program

    3 – $2,000 Scholarships will be awarded to a graduating high school senior

    who has a parent, or they themselves serve, in Law Enforcement, Fire Service or EMS Service.

    1 – $1,500 Chief Gary Cline Memorial Scholarship

    This scholarship will be awarded to a student pursing a career in Law Enforcement.             

    1 – $1,500 Chief Gene Dannenfelser Memorial Scholarship

    This scholarship will be awarded to a student pursing a career in the Fire Service.

    1 – $1,000 Corporal Christopher Milito Scholarship

    This scholarship will be awarded to a student who has a parent actively serving in Law Enforcement.

    Incarnation Knights of Columbus 8th grade & 12th grade Scholarships

    The Incarnation Council 6364 of the Knights of Columbus is offering High School scholarships and College scholarships. To be considered, the child must be in 8th or 12th grade. The 8th grade child must be going to a Catholic High School and the 12th grade child must be going to a 2 or 4 year accredited College. The Scholarship intends to recognize the student/family that best represents the Knights of Columbus virtue of charity in the form of active ministry in our parish. Academic accomplishments will also be considered.

    An application must be completed along with requirements no later than February 25.  A committee will review all applications and award the scholarships. Notification will be made to all applicants by March 18.  Completed applications with a letter of recommendation from a teacher or counselor, a certification from one of our parish priests, and an essay can be mailed to David Zarzycki at 726 Duke Drive, Wenonah, NJ 08090, Attn: Scholarship Chairman or scanned and emailed to davezyc@comcast.net .
