WELCOMING OUR NEWEST EOF SCHOLARS
Ramapo’s Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) Program made history once again on July 6 as they welcomed their largest EOF first-year class. 135 EOF Scholars began their Ramapo careers moving into campus for the five-week, residential EOF Pre-First Year Summer Institute. The EOF Summer Program is the foundation of an EOF Scholars’ academic, personal and professional success at Ramapo College. During this summer-bridge program, a requirement of all incoming EOF first-year students to assist them with the transition to college, Scholars take classes, connect with their EOF Advisors and other College personnel and earn 4 college credits. The program is designed to provide students with a structured start to their college careers. 

APPLICATIONS OPEN AUGUST 1
Ramapo will open applications for both first-year and transfer students for the spring and fall 2026 terms on August 1. Ramapo continues to be a test-optional institution for first year admissions, so requirements for first-year applicants include submitting their high school transcript and letter of recommendation with their Common Application. Transfer requirements to apply include submitting the Ramapo web application as well as college transcripts for all colleges attended and letter of recommendation. A final high school transcript is required If they are transferring with less than 45 earned college credits.  
FALL VISIT OPPORTUNITIES
September is fast approaching and the Ramapo Admissions office has a number of visit opportunities for students and families looking to learn what makes Ramapo stand out. Our Daily Campus Tours are scheduled for 10 AM and 1 PM, Monday through Friday beginning on September 15. Saturday Tours will be available at 10 AM and 11 AM most Saturdays beginning on September 20. Group tours for high school juniors and seniors as well as college transfers will be offered most weekdays at 10:30 AM in October and November. Registration for these events open on August 1.

FILLING THE GAP: TA TO TEACHER
For teaching assistants called to become teachers themselves, Ramapo’s TA to Teacher Program has been life changing. The program, launched in 2022 to help fill the critical shortage of qualified teachers in New Jersey, taps into teaching assistants and paraprofessionals already serving in the classroom, giving them a clear, accelerated pathways to becoming teachers without leaving their jobs. Students earn their certifications to teach elementary or secondary education and can choose to go on for their Master of Arts in Special Education. Read more
BOOTCAMP FOR NEW ALUMNI
Graduates of the Class of 2025 returned to campus in late June for a one-day bootcamp aimed at giving them the tools to conduct successful full-time job searches. The Job Search Bootcamp was the first ever put on by the Cahill Career Development Center. The goal of the event was to walk new alumni through the job search process from beginning to end, providing them with tools and methods for best practice, including tailoring their resumes and using AI to supplement their job searches for ideal results. A second Job Search Bootcamp is being scheduled for August. Read more

TACKLING REAL-WORLD ISSUES
At Ramapo College, research is not just an academic exercise, it is a transformative experience for students, faculty and the community. The college is building a culture where faculty-student research thrives. The goal? to make these collaborations more visible, interdisciplinary and impactful. Ramapo’s faculty-student research explores some of today’s most pressing challenges. These efforts showcase how art and academic research can create meaningful conversations and solutions. Roadrunner Ocia Milo ’25 always has a goal set for herself. So once she was confident who would graduate with honors from Ramapo College, she set her next goal: securing a job before receiving her official college diploma. The Management major from Newark, NJ achieved that one too. Utilizing resources available to her from the Cahill Career Development Center, Milo was offered a position with Enterprise Mobility “on the spot,” learning the ins and outs of managing a branch of the rental car business.
