Image Area   RENOWNED CHEMIST JOINS RAMAPO COLLEGE AS DEAN American Chemical Society Fellow, Dr. Benny Chan, PhD., a distinguished teacher-scholar in inorganic chemistry has been appointed Dean and will lead the School of Theoretical and Applied Science at Ramapo College. As a member of Ramapo’s academic leadership team, Dean Chan will help shape institutional priorities and promote the mission of a public liberal arts college committed to inclusive excellence and interdisciplinary learning. Read more. HISTORY MADE…AGAIN The Admissions Office has made history, again, by enrolling the largest first year freshman class on May 1 in Ramapo history. This accomplishment beat last year’s record breaking numbers, replacing the incoming class of 2024 as the largest in Ramapo history. First year applications increased 10.5% year over year. Overall, undergraduate enrollment looks strong for Ramapo with transfer application numbers also increasing by 12.4% as well.  SUMMER CAMPUS TOURS Our Summer Campus Tours start on June 23 and run Monday through Thursday at 10 AM and 1 PM. Our summer tours begin with a brief information session by one of our Admissions staff members before you begin your walking tour of our picturesque campus, academic and student spaces and our award-winning first year housing for students. Counselors are available after the tour to answer questions. These tours are for groups of 10 to 40 students and chaperones and provide a private tour of campus and our award winning campus housing. A brief information session is offered at the start of your day and a group picture is taken of your group at the historic Havemeyer Arch. NEW SUSSEX CC PARTNERSHIP Sussex County, NJ students aiming for careers in social work, business, and teaching have new pathways to their bachelor’s and master’s degrees under a trio of agreements between Ramapo College and Sussex County Community College (SCCC). This partnership established three new 2+2+1 pathways, allowing students to earn their associates from SCCC, their bachelor’s degree from Ramapo and their master’s in Social Work, Business Administration, or Special Education from Ramapo in five years total. Read more. VOICES OF OPPORTUNITY April is EOF Month in New Jersey, but it is year round at Ramapo College. ON April 10, the EOF Program hosted its annual EOF Celebration Ceremony, which recognizes the many accomplishments of our EOF Scholars, including our graduating seniors. This year’s ceremony honored the many contributions of our EOF Scholars to the Ramapo community as well as a moving closing speech by Dr. Deirdre Foreman, Associate Director of EOF, who has worked with Ramapo’s EOF Scholars for 26 years. Read more2025 SCHOLARS’ DAY Ramapo students seized the opportunity to showcase their extensive  research on topics ranging from the potential bioremediation of the Hudson River to the impact that less play has on children during the college’s thirteenth annual Scholars’ Day on April 14. The event featured some of the most exemplary faculty-mentored student creativity and scholarly activities undertaken in 2024-25.
