UConn Establishes Honors College

Building on more than 60 years of Honors education at UConn, the University of Connecticut is proud to announce that it is taking the next step in its commitment to undergraduate excellence with the establishment of the UConn Honors College.

Designed to help undergraduates across all UConn campuses and all majors explore their interests and pursue ambitious ideas, the Honors College will expand opportunities for academic enrichment, faculty mentorship, and hands-on research.

UConn Honors students already benefit from a community of academically engaged peers, but the new Honors College will enhance this experience through expanded course offerings and enrichment opportunities, helping even more students make the most of their UConn education.

As a reminder, all applicants are automatically considered for Honors College admission as part of the application review process and December 1 is our priority consideration deadline for Honors and scholarship consideration. There is no separate Honors College application required for entering first-year students.
