PENN STATE 2026

Summer 2026

Admissions Cycle Wrap-up

Penn State received more than 155,000 applications and offered admission to more than 110,000 applicants for summer and fall 2026. The Smeal College of Business was the most competitive college for admission, followed by the Colleges of Engineering and Nursing.
Students offered admission to the University Park campus had until May 1 to accept. Students admitted to other campuses have additional time, but are encouraged to accept early to secure housing where available. Admission decisions are posted in the MyPennState Portal where students can accept their offers.

Orientation and Move-in
Once first-year students accept their admission offers, they will be required to complete onboarding tasks and attend New Student Orientation (NSO). The onboarding tasks must be completed before they can reserve their NSO. Students can contact the Office of Orientation and Transition Programs for assistance.
As students prepare to move into campus housing, they should check out Penn State Arrival for campus-specific move-in dates, contract deadlines, room assignments, and other helpful information for a smooth transition.
