MEDacademy Summer Program Application has officially opened.
MEDacademy is a four-week summer program geared towards motivated and talented rising high school juniors and seniors who have an interest in entering medicine. Students are exposed to four featured medical specialties – Pathology, Cardiopulmonary, Gastroenterology and Neurology – and participate in lectures, hands-on demonstrations, case-based learning activities, and interactive clinical simulations taught by faculty, medical students and staff.
The MEDacademy Program will take place starting Monday June 29th – July 24th 2026 – 9:30am-3:30pm at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University.
Eligible candidates would need the following to apply:
- Online Application (Located within this link in addition to additional program details – https://cmsru.rowan.edu/education/academic-credit-programs/medacademy.html
- Two recommendations to be submitted by a high school guidance counselor, science teacher, and high school teacher or employer/community leader.
- Official high school transcript which should include fall 2025 grades.
- Application fee of $25 to be remitted online – link to pay fee is within the application.
- Tuition for the four-week program is $3,000, and tuition for MEDacademy Masters is $2,000. Limited scholarships are available. CMSRU will expect a payment of a nonrefundable deposit of $500 within two weeks of any offer of admission. The full tuition should be paid before the start of the program. If payment is not received, the student’s spot will be opened up to anothercandidate on the waiting list. The deadline in which to apply is March 9th 2026.
Lastly, on Monday January 12th , 2026 from 5:00pm-6:30pm, the Office of Engagement and Community Impact will host a MEDacademy Open House session here at CMSRU located at 401 South Broadway in Camden NJ. The open house is geared towards guidance counselors and administrators.
