College Credit

ADVANCED PLACEMENT COURSES

Gloucester Catholic offers full year courses in the following AP courses:

AP English Language & Composition
AP English Literature & Composition
AP Psychology
AP US History
AP Calculus AB
AP Biology
AP Chemistry
AP Environmental Science

Students have the option of taking additional AP Courses online through an approved College Board provider such as Educere. Please click here to see a complete list of available online courses through this provider. Any student opting to study an AP subject independently will be able to take the AP exam at Gloucester Catholic.

Completing the AP Exam in May is a requirement for any AP Course offered at Gloucester Catholic. Students can earn college credit as a result of their AP scores. Typically scores of 3, 4 or 5 can be awarded college credit based on the specific requirements outlined by the college a student attends. ROWAN COLLEGE AT GLOUCESTER COUNTY PREMIER PARTNERSHIP WITH GLOUCESTER CATHOLIC

PREMIERE PARTNERSHIP: Gloucester Catholic and Rowan College at Gloucester County (RCGC) began a partnership in the summer of 2014. This partnership allows Gloucester Catholic students to take college classes which can be placed on his/her transcript and given credit through the High School Option program.

HIGH SCHOOL OPTION: To date, we have had many students earn credit in over 25 different courses such as HTML/Web Design, Digital Photography, Physics, American Sign Language, Intro to Marketing, Biology, Calculus, Art Appreciation, Principles of Sociology, Medical Terminology, and World History to name a few. We have built a special RCGC period into our schedule which allows students taking courses the necessary time during the school day to work on their college courses and/or high school courses as needed. DUAL CREDIT: Students can take AP Courses at Gloucester Catholic and earn Dual Credit at RCGC.

DUAL CREDIT WITH CAMDEN COUNTY COLLEGE

Students enrolled in the following courses at Gloucester Catholic are eligible to apply for dual credit with Camden County College:

  • United States History 2 Honors
  • AP United States History
  • AP Calculus AB

DUAL CREDIT WITH SETON HALL UNIVERSITY

Students in the Contemporary Moral Issues course can apply for dual credit with Seton Hall University.
