Advancement  Office

The Office of Advancement at Gloucester Catholic High School is responsible for the development and maintenance of the ongoing comprehensive program of advancement of the school.

These efforts encompass alumni affairs, communications and marketing, publications, web site, student recruitment and retention, fund raising, major gifts, volunteers and support organizations, the annual fund, and capital campaigns.

The efforts are designed to promote understanding, acceptance and support among the various publics (alumni, parents, alumni parents, students, prospective students and families, parishes, businesses, foundations and friends) for the mission of Gloucester Catholic High School.

The Advancement Office exists to enhance the image of Gloucester Catholic High School, communicate the mission and objectives of the school, and obtain the financial support necessary to ensure a strong and vibrant future.

Capital Campaign

THIS IS OUR MOMENT to make Gloucester Catholic the best it can be!  Your support, over and above your support of the Annual Appeals Fund, will allow us to make the physical expansions to our facilities which will help to keep Gloucester Catholic High School at the forefront in a very competitive educational market.

A capital campaign is a one-time fundraising initiative over a period of time. Its purpose is to raise significant funds for the specific purpose of facilities expansion and renovation.

At this time Gloucester Catholic is actively asking for major gifts to help support the Athletic Fields Campaign.

Gloucester Catholic High School has built an outstanding, challenging, and exciting education program which we look forward to further developing during this next great chapter. Through this Athletic Fields campaign, we will be able to build GCHS’ first centralized athletic complex.

Brief history: In 2010, the Diocese of Camden presented Gloucester Catholic with an important opportunity. Recognizing that the school, unlike any other in the diocese or area, had no home sports fields, Bishop Joseph Galante offered the use of 75 acres located off County Road 603 in Deptford.

Since our founding, we have borrowed fields throughout the area. Only our Ram basketball, volleyball and wrestling teams enjoy a true home game advantage.

The school administration, with the counsel of alumni and volunteers, decided to take this opportunity and invest in the school’s future.

This plan is vital to the continued growth of enrollment here at Gloucester Catholic. Attractive, state-of-the-art athletic complex will not only support future enrollment, but the fields are a “footprint” in Gloucester County, where we draw many of our students. Ram teams will draw more interest regionally from media, alumni, and local high school sports fans, bringing positive publicity to GCHS.

The new facilities will also save travel, time and costs for GCHS teams, who previously played all “home” games at outside high schools.

If you are interested in participating or giving to this project, please contact Gus Ostrum, Director of Advancement, at (609) 969-9114 or gostrum@gchsrams.org

Annual Alumni Appeal

Gloucester Catholic’s Annual Alumni Appeal supports scholarships and student activities for current and incoming students. Sponsored by the GCHS Alumni Association, Annual Alumni Appeal raises funds for scholarships that are generously supported by our active alumni and friends of Gloucester Catholic.

Last year, contributions from GCHS alumni provided scholarships for more than 40 students.  The Alumni Association also provides financial aid for students in need and assumes the cost of leasing a school bus.   The generous spirit of alumni and friends has kept our Ram Pride alive and well in supporting these worthwhile activities
