Former Lady Rams Pitcher Tricia Reiners Duer Elected to Gloucester County Sports Hall of Fame

Former Gloucester Catholic softball star Tricia Reiners Duer ’92  will be among the 16 new inductees to the Gloucester County Sports Hall of Fame during the 34th Annual Induction Banquet on March 25,2014 at Auletto’s Caterers in Almonesson, the Executive Committee has announced.

This year’s inductees also include: Joe Crispin (Pitman), Jon Crispin (Pitman), Marilyn Stetser Bennette (Clearview), Mel Carter (Kingsway), Chuck Lamson (Woodbury), Colleen Kelly Kolb (Washington Twp.), Chris Ianacone (Delsea), Vince Nestore (Deptford), Fred Swartz (Gloucester CC), Bill Hunt (Williamstown), William Kneller (Paulsboro), Joe Cugini (Clayton), Scott Wagner (Clearview) and Dino Hall (Glassboro State).

One of South Jersey’s top pitchers in the late 1980s and early 1990’s, this Wenonah native hurled the Lady Rams to a pair of NJSIAA Non-Public B state softball championships in 1990 and 1991. This effort continued a streak where Gloucester Catholic captured four state crowns in a five-year stretch from 1987 to 1991.

She later starred at St. John’s University as one of the top pitchers in school history before graduating in 1997.
