Gloucester Catholic Awards 141 Diplomas to Class of 2017 Graduates!

Graduation 2Gloucester Catholic High School awarded 141 diplomas to members of the Class of 2017 during the 88th Annual Baccalaureate Mass and Commencement Exercises on Thursday, June 1, at Our Lady of Hope, The Church of St. Agnes, in Blackwood, NJ.

Peter M. Gawason, Jr., who will attend Villanova University, led the processional as Class Valedictorian. Samantha Hiester, who will continue her collegiate education at Long Island University Brooklyn, was the Salutatorian.

Most Reverend Dennis J. Sullivan, Bishop of the Diocese of Camden, served as the Main Celebrant. nReverend Kevin J. Mohan, Gloucester Catholic’s Director of Catholic Identity, was among the many Concelebrants. Bishop Sullivan and Ms. Mary Boyle, Superintendent of Catholic Schools, conferred the diplomas.

Daniel O’Shea, who will continue his education at Seton Hall University, was selected as recipient of the Bishop’s Award, presented by Father Mohan.

Alumni from the Class of 1967 were also honored on their 50th anniversary reunion and marched in the processional with members of the Class of 2017.
